Jenna-Louise Coleman (born in London) is a British popular actor. Her best-known work is playing Clara Oswald as Clara Oswald from her role in the Doctor Who television series. She began acting in her early years as a member of Yer Space, a theatre group, and was involved in the production of Crystal Clear at Edinburgh Festival. The show received critical acclaim, as well as Coleman was awarded the award in recognition of her performances. Coleman got her first big breakthrough when she was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas in the soap show Emmerdale during 2005. Her appearances continued on the show until its conclusion in 2009. Jasmine Thomas was her character in the National Television Awards 2006. She won a nomination as Most Popular Freshman at that year's awards. Coleman made her film debut in 2011 when she portrayed Connie who was in Captain America: The First Avenger. Coleman's biggest chance to demonstrate her range came when she accepted the opportunity to portray the former British monarch Queen Victoria in the ITV drama Victoria. Coleman's acting career has progressed from her role as Lindsay James, a young girl in the BBC series Waterloo Road, to portraying an empress as part of Victoria.
